Receiving
It is up to the customer to know if their address can accept freight shipments by a semi-truck. If you cannot accept shipment by semi-truck other arrangements need to be made, such as terminal pick-up. This is the sole responsibility of the customer.
Know When to Expect
When an item ships from Cart Parts Direct you will be notified with a tracking number through email. You should keep an eye on this tracking so you know when to expect delivery. Most companies call will delivery date and time frame.
Inspect Product
When receiving an item shipped via freight it is very important to inspect the product for damage before signing the delivery receipt. This ensures that the damages will be covered by the freight company. If the product is damaged do not accept the item and call us immediately. Inspect your purchase immediately upon delivery and contact us if anything is broken or missing. After 15 days of receiving the product, we reserve the right to not fulfill claims of missing parts or pieces. After 30 days of receiving the product, we reserve the right to not accept a return of the product for any reason.
Suspected Damage
If a box is damaged it does not mean the product is damaged. If you suspect damage but cannot be certain, note, "possible product damage" on the delivery receipt and have the driver initial as a witness. This will help with a smoother claim process for compensation from the freight company. If the product is damaged and one of these two actions have not been taken, it is the customer's sole responsibility to file a claim with the freight company.
